Forty-Two
Major League Baseball retired number forty-two from the game in 1997, in honor of Jackie Robinson. The uniform number can only be worn on April 15th every year or by players who were wearing the number at the time of its retirement. Mariano Rivera of the New York Yankees was the last to actively wear this number
